Opening Doors:

Try using thread to open doors, trunks, hoods, or anything else you can think of. Make sure it is polyester, it lasts longer and doesn't snap as easy. drill a starting hole and pass one end of the thread through. Now pull in the direction you wish to cut, and pull each end back and forth. Diagrams up soon.

Preparation:

Before you start a model, be sure to make a detailed outline as to what you are going to do. This will make it much easier than making it up as you go along.

Dremel Tool:

Many modelers have heard of the Dremel tool, and often have one. If you don't though, I recommend that you go and pick one up. The one that I have is the Dremel Multipro, and has variable speeds, which is great for plastic models. This tool is a must-have for the experienced modeler, and can be used to sand, polish, cut, clean, drill, and and many other things. It is also great used around the house.
